What Inspires me....

My primary source of inspiration is simply ME - this idea I have of the "best me".

I consider myself quite self- aware, and confident about what I want for myself. Now, this idea of the "best me" is not fixed. It has gone through some changes overtime, and will continue to do, I am sure, for whatever reason. However, there are aspects that will always remain constant. With that said, the "best me" speaks to that ultimate place I want to be in the personal, spiritually, and professional spheres of my life. It's my ultimate place of happiness, that is dictated only by me. Admittedly,  I'm not always on track, but it serves as my point of reference; my guide post. It's my source of inspiration and what I aspire to be.
I also find inspiration from people I consider to be strong women, especially older women, whether I know them personally or not. I enjoy hearing older women speak. There's always  such an unapologetic wealth of experience and wisdom; a lot one can learn or draw from. Many times I find myself saying, yeah, I want to do that or be like that! One of my favorite things to do is hang out with my mother and her friends, and just listen to them chat:-)  So.... In all,  what drives me is this quest for self - actualization --- my idea of the "best me and strong women I identify with.

What Inspires me...

"Education inspires me"

Two things really inspires me, the Bible and Education.
Growing up my parents put a lot of emphasis on Education and its Importance. My mom drilled in me everyday that education can and will always transform your life. It was reinforced a number of times that education allows you to be self supporting, Independent, it can lead you to better places and it gives you limitless opportunities.
Also the Bible played a very Important role in my motivation and inspiration, my Grandfathers favorite verse "I can do all things through Christ who Strengthens me" as always helped to push me.
Whenever I felt like giving up, and faced Hard times at school I always tried to re-energize myself and keep my eyes on the goal and remember the effectiveness of education and my grandfathers Bible verse. Therefore my inspiration and drive to become a lawyer came from education and the Bible.

Perceptions

We all have different eyes, and what you see can be totally different from what I see. Remember a time when you and a group of friends stared in the sky and you saw an elephant, one friend saw a dog and another friend saw a man, Imagine the discussion you had trying to argue who was right.  Well no one was right or wrong you all saw what you saw.

In life we all see what we see,  we all have our own personal goals and aspirations that are fitted to us. However change comes when we recognize and understand what exactly we see and become aware of  this, that's when we can mold and develop our own perceptions.
Continue to see what you see, water your own garden and give it a chance to grow.

Life standing still in a city where no one stands still

Chin up,
Look up,
Think Positive,
Smile brightly,
Stand firm,
Walk upright,
Sleep less,
Eat more,
Speak kindly,
Be confident,
Love more,
Listen attentively,
But most importantly be you!
