My Diet

My Diet

Hello all, yes I have been missing!

I have been getting several requests regarding my diet and the green juicing so here goes.

I started February 25, since then I lost 20 pounds (yay me). If you want great results you have to be ready to have discipline and endurance, so be ready! Guys these are the steps I took, and we all have different metabolism. I am not a nutritionist this is just a layout of what I did.

One of the first things I did was eliminating the things I love that were bad for me

    Rice

Bread (well I eat whole wheat toast now and then)

Juice (I mostly drink water and natural juice that I blend at home, I might lapse and drink if I go out but for the most part I drink water)

I substitute rice with sweet or regular potato, all kinds of veggies and greens
Lots of protein (fish and chicken)
Eat regularly in small portions, fruits and nuts are good snacks

For the first 3 weeks I changed my diet completely, cutting all the things I mentioned above but as time went by I added exercising. Eating properly is the biggest part of losing weight. I had my moments when I felt very hungry, but I drank unsweetened teas plus I ate lots of fruits and nuts. And yes of course I cheated along the way. I am not saying you should go as drastic as I did but I know I love rice and cake and bread therefore going cold turkey was best for me.

As for exercising, take it slow, increasing your limit gradually, don't push yourself too much at first. Start slowly and with time your body will be able to keep up.

Now the juicing, this can either be a cleanse or a meal substitute. The cleanse lasts 3 or 2 days, only the green juice water and green tea, no food fruits or nuts. Or it can be used for meal substitute

Below is a list of vegetables I always use, however you can do whatever variation is good for your taste and your liking;

Kale
Cucumber
Celery
Carrot
Beets
Green apple
Spinach
ginger
Honey
